We are glad that you are able to make it to Ithaca! The Travel page has
directions for how to get to Ithaca. This page tells you a little bit about how to
get around once you get here.
First of all, we have made two reference maps to help you out (pdf):
There will be bus transportation provided from each of the hotels to the
reception site (except for the Statler, which is a short walk away). We would like
anyone planning on taking advantage of the open bar to also take advantage of
the bus. More details on the bus schedule will be posted here before the wedding.
There is some parking behind both Willard Straight and behind Annabel Taylor,
but not very much. We ask if you could use this parking only if you have a
member of your party who has difficulty walking; otherwise, please use the free
parking garage next to the football field - don't worry, it is a short walk, and
pretty flat! The garage is located on Campus Road, between the baseball field
and the football field.
To get to campus:
From Homewood Suites:
Make a left out of the parking lot onto Triphammer Road. At the first stop sign,
stay on Triphammer, which involves a quick left and right (the hardest right
available). Stay on Triphammer until it dead ends at Wait Ave; make a left. Take
Wait Ave until it dead ends at Thurston Ave; make a left. When you cross the
bridge, Thurston becomes East Ave, the main drag through campus (make a left
at the light if you want to go to the Plantations). When East Ave dead ends at
Campus Road, turn left to go the parking garage (which will be on your right), or
right to go to Annabel Taylor or Willard Straight. The Annabel Taylor parking
lot will be the first left after the traffic light, the Willard Straight parking lot will
be the second right after the light.
From Courtyard Marriott:
Make a left from Thornwood Drive onto Brown Rd. When Brown Road ends, go
left onto Warren Road. At the first light, make a right onto Route 13. Take the
first exit ramp for Triphammer Road. Make a left at the top of the ramp. From
here, follow the Homewood Suites directions.
From Hampton Inn:
Make a right out of the parking lot onto Route 13. Stay on Route 13 as it turns
into a one way road. Ignore the signs that say "To Cornell" (unless you would
like to take a longer route). Make a right onto Buffalo Street, which will be the
street after Route 79 West. *Take Buffalo Street until it dead ends at the top of
the hill. Go left on Stewart Ave, then make the first right onto Dryden Road. At
the first traffic light, go left onto College Ave. Take College Ave until it ends at
Campus Road. Go right on Campus Road to get to the parking garage, which will
be on your right. Go left on Campus Road for the parking at Annabel Taylor
(first left) or Willard Straight (second right).
From Hilton Garden Inn:
Exit the parking garage onto Tioga Street (the exit at the bottom of the ramp).
Make the first right onto Buffalo Street. Follow the directions from the * in the
Hampton Inn directions.
